In the grand design, women were drawn from a different set of blueprints.--"Twin Peaks"

Raised as a southern lady, Kalinda loves her hometown of Asheville, North Carolina tucked in the Appalachian Mountains.  Her Aunt Dani Mae gave her the fairytales, ghost stories and history of the region.  This spun into a love of the spoken word that has traveled with her until today.  Her love of ghost stories was what compelled her to write.  She started with short stories that were published in various magazines both regional and national--Macabre Cadaver, The Magazine of Science and Fantasy Fiction, Strange Tales, and Uncanny Stories.  Now she is trying her hand at writing full length novels and enjoying every minute of it.

To help get her in the right frame of mind, Kalinda likes to travel to various places across America that boast haunted sites.  She delves into the past of the place and finds some connection for her main character Chase.  In lots of ways this connection is for her too.

The 27 year old holds a doctorate in nineteenth century American History from Emory University.  She lost her parents when she was young to a car accident.  She inherited the family manor just outside Asheville including the ghosts of a few ancestors. Life hasn't always been easy for this bright star but she keeps fighting and writing just as her father told her to do.  Her hunger for a good story will never be quenched nor will the need to tell one.
